FAQs: What learning materials will my child receive or use? Are there any tech requirements?

Online/Distance Learning

For Preschool to Grade 3, printed materials and instructional packets will be given in 1 or 2 batches. One batch or 1 time if these are paid in full upon enrollment. All of the year’s materials will be released (if you choose to pick it up) or delivered (if you choose to have it delivered for a fee of P100.00) the week before the start of classes. If paid in 2 installments, the 1st batch of materials will cover the first and second quarter’s lessons while the second batch will cover the 3rd and 4th quarter’s lessons. For Grade 4 to Grade 12, special student codes which will give access to Quipper, our Learning Management System, will be released at least 1 week before the start of classes. Students are responsible for their own computer (laptop or desktop). Use of a printer is optional if the student wants to print the materials.

Online/Distance Learning includes video calling and screen sharing which subsequently requires an upload and download internet speed of at least 128kpbs. For a group video call, Skype requires a minimum download speed of 512Kbps and a minimum upload speed of 128Kbps. Skype will be our main platform backed up by Zoom or Google Meet, and other platforms necessary.

The recommended device for Quipper is a tablet operating on an Android software with at least 8 gigabytes of free space OR a computer (laptop or desktop) with a functioning web browser. In order to download modules/units, an internet speed of at least least 30kbps is needed, which even mobile data can support.

Home School

Face-To-Face Classes

However, Little Me Academy or Aikee will print for free materials that are pertinent in classroom use.
